At J.C. Karate Ministries and Fitness, we believe in making an investment in the lives of our students and parents. Our Not-for-profit ministry goes much further than a typical karate school. With our community outreach and desire to impact the lives of others we truly reach past the traditional karate school. More than just a pastime, you are joining a family
Jason P. Chase Sr. is a certified instructor through the Independant Karate Schools of America (IKSA) and also the World Martial Arts Masters (AIKIA). Jason is a fifth degree black belt Master in Open Style Karate, Traditional Chito Ryu, and Open Style Weapons, and Soke of American Guiding Path Defensive Systems. He has fought on the Florida State Martial Arts circuit and is two time, triple crown, state champion. In 2013 Jason was awarded with the honorable rank of Soke with the certification of his own martial arts style, American Gusiding Path Defensive Systems (AGP). Jason has been training in the martial arts for over 30 years and continues his training in order to better himself, his style, and also the training of our students.
On a spiritual level Jason is a former Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, Drama Director, and Music Leader. He has also led mission trips to Bahamas, Jamaica, New York, Georgia Alabama, and Florida. Jason has counseled people, visited homes, hospital vists, delivered sermons, and has officiated funerals.
Jason decidied to open up J.C. Karate Ministries & Fitness because he knows how important it is for everyone to know a little self defense. It can be the difference between living or dying. The improvements that we have seen in challenged children has been miraculous. There is not a life that cannot benefit from martial arts training.
Jason's wife Sara has a degree in Elementary Education, is a certified group fitness instructor, and is a certified Zumba and Zumba gold instructor. She has a passion for working with children and ensuring that they are safe and properly trained. She is the front line person who will do whatever it takes to ensure that our students, citizens, and community are taken care of. You will often see her attending board meetings, reading to children for Goodwill Bookworks, networking with many local and state agencies, and most recently running the East Hernando Emergency Operations Center after the devastation wreaked my hurricane Irma.
Jason and Sara saw the need for something in Eastern Hernando County that would not only teach self defense, but also was affordable enough for all families. The desire to give kids something positive to do in the afternoons, combined with the improved character qualities that martial arts brings, proved to be the winning combination. J.C. Karate Ministries & Fitness is also proud to be the most affordable martial arts school in all of Hernando County.
